Hi all  As I am reading the draft with its multitude of predefined different IDs, I am wondering if it would help readers if we group various relevant IDs with common prefixes. Something like below:  FID_XXX â?? All Field IDs (Field codes)  [or maybe FC_]                FID_DST_ADDR                FID_SRC_ADDR                FID_ETH_TYPE                FID_SUBTYPE  FnXxxYyy â?? all field names [or FldXxxYxx]                FnDstAddr                FnSubtype                â?¦ ETYPE_XXX for various Ethertype constants [Or maybe ETHERTYPE_ or ETHTYPE_ or ET_ or ETP_ or ETHP_] We only use two in the draft:                ETYPE_VLC (0xA8C8)                ETYPE_SP (slow protocol 0x88-09)                STYPE_XXX for all 1904.2 subtypes [or SUBTYPE_ or ST_ or SUBT_] These are all subtypes we have:                STYPE_VLC                STYPE_OAM                STYPE_OMCI                STYPE_EPD (currently L3_subtype)                STYPE_L2  Please, let me know if you think this is a good idea, and in case of various choices, what are your preferences.  Thank you, -Glen  To unsubscribe from the STDS-1904-2-TF list, click the following link: https://listserv.ieee.org/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=STDS-1904-2-TF&A=1 |
