Present:
Jouni Korhonen

Sriram Devi
Peter Turnbull
Gareth Edwards
Peter Ashwood-Smith (early departure)
Yuan Liquan
Xhafer Krasnigi
Actual Agenda:
* Recap on Action Points
* Information on coming meetings
* Moving forward with the standard work -> producing the first draft
* Contributions to the coming WG meeting
Discussion:
* Jouni goes through the existing Action Points listed in http://www.ieee1904.org/3/meeting_archive/2015/06/tf3_1506_closing.pdf
page 3. Our of the listed APs, Jouni has taken care of the "Initiate discussion on security scope & requirements". Rest as still pending.
* Jouni reminds about the coming 1904 WG meeting that will take place over teleconference. In order to test the virtual meeting
tools (join.me) there is a quick test call next week Wednesday 29th July, 8AM Pacific time. The invitation was mailed to IEEE 1904
reflector (http://www.ieee1904.org/email/msg00126.html).
* For the join.me tool, go to http://www.ieee1904.org/private/wg_joinme.shtml , follow the instructions and install the tool. More
Information available at http://www.ieee1904.org/email/msg00107.html.
* Discussion on the meeting logistic (Xhafer, Sriram, ?). Exact dates not announced yet. Jouni says those will be discussed during the
test call. Estimate 3 separate calls. Virtual meeting will be dealt as any WG meeting with plenaries and such.
* Contributing to the baseline. Jouni informs about the material he is currently working on: the "better" CPRI mapper, control packet
Format details and clarifications to the RoE link startup phase. Tries to get something posted to the reflector this week (unlinkely
though).
* Jouni reminds that wider participation to contributions would be more than welcome.
* The first cut of the draft spec is intended to be out before October meeting. No realistinc chances to the get one done for the
August virtual meeting. October deadline is important as otherwise we start slipping the schedule too much.
* Quick update on what is going on in other SDOs. IEEE 802 plenary last week went through 802.1CM PAR (TSN for fronthaul
networks i.e. producing a TSN profile for fronthaul. Similar what was done earlier for AVB in 802.1BA). PAR is not approved yet
but very likely to be approved in a near future.
IETF #93 has/had a BoF for DetNet (deterministic networks) i.e. 802.1TSN for L3. Good success in IETF but the formation of the
WG is not given yet. Decisions to be done in IETF ~in two-three week time.
* Pointers to IEEE and IETF material:

* Last point: No telco on 8/4/2015. Jouni is on vacation.
