Folks,

Something to think about.. it appears that being able to structure the sequence number into multiple areas with own counters & overflow behavior would actually be useful. This would, for example, help quite a bit when the sequence number is actually a concatenation of multiple fields and those do not align nicely with powers of two... would safe few dividers and make handling easy (just masking).

Comments? I am planning to bring a proposal in about this as well.
