Thanks for putting these slides together. A couple of observations. On slide 4 second bullet could you elaborate why this would make "interop" harder? That should not make any difference for the starting of the actual data stream. In any case we need to have the "manual mode" available for deployments where e.g., everything is controlled in "SDN style".
My take on this is analogous to IP networking.. one can configure manually, which is an option that is always there no matter what. And then there is option for more dynamic way to configure things, which may or may not be there.

setup (thanks, Kevin!), and I’ve integrated some of the comments from
the last call and started formalising the states of the process.

I have a plan on how to proceed with the todo items but I am on vacation
for the next week or so and won’t have a chance to work on it until I
get back; this also includes the call on Tuesday so I won’t be available
to present then either.

I’ll try to keep an eye on any reflector discussion while I’m away.
