RE: Announcement of the 1st recirculation WG ballot on IEEE P1904.4/D2.1



Dear colleagues,

This is a gentle reminder that the first recirculation ballot of the
1904.4 draft closes a week from now, on Monday, August 12. The full ballot
announcement is attached below.

If you have not done so yet, please start collecting the comments against
the draft D2.1 to submit with your ballot.

Please, note that if you have voted in the initial WG ballot, your last
vote stays and you don't need to submit another vote, unless you desire to
change your previous vote.  If you have not voted previously, it is
important that you do so this time in order to avoid losing the working
group voting rights.

Dear IEEE 1904 Working Group members,

This is the announcement of the electronic IEEE 1904 Access Networks
Working Group 1st recirculation ballot on the IEEE P1904.4, the Standard
for Service Interoperability in 25 Gb/s and 50 Gb/s Ethernet Passive
Optical Networks, draft D2.1

The draft D2.1 of IEEE P1904.4 can be downloaded at the following URL:
https://www.ieee1904.org/private/4/drafts/D2_1/draft_1904_4_D2_1_clean.pdf
(The username and password to access the draft are as announced during the
working group meetings. Contact the WG Chair if you do not have these.)

The ballot group for this draft is the IEEE 1904.4 voting membership as of
Tuesday, April 30th, 2024.

BALLOT SCOPE:
As a Working Group recirculation ballot, the scope of the ballot is
limited to the material changed from draft D2.0. Out-of-scope issues may
be addressed at working group discretion.

BALLOT OPENS:
Friday, June 21, 2024

BALLOT CLOSES:
Monday, August 12, 2024, 23:59 AOE

To ensure your ballot is counted, please submit your ballot using the

You only need to cast your ballot if you have not voted during the initial
ballot or desire to change your previous vote. However, you may cast your
ballot even if your previous vote didn't change.
