Dear Colleagues, I am happy to announce that in the interests of improved collaboration, CableLabs has graciously offered to host the 1904 ANWG, FSAN, and NG-EPON meetings together during the week of February 2-6. Below is the tentative schedule:
I encourage all ANWG members to attend the NG-EPON meeting and the joint session, where all three groups will introduce their current standards and future work plans. There will be no registration fees for this meeting, but registration will be required. Please, see the message from Curtis below. I will send a separate announcement when the registration page is available. Regards, Glen From: Curtis Knittle [mailto:C.Knittle@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]
Gentlemen, It is the season for giving, so CableLabs will give. :) I’ve decided CableLabs will cover the full costs of the meetings scheduled for Feb 2-6, to be hosted by CableLabs in the Louisville, CO office. I truly want to encourage collaboration between all groups, especially FSAN and NGEPON. I think
the best way to encourage this is to make it as simple as possible for all individuals who wish to attend the meetings. Here’s what I ask for in return: 1)
Please encourage your respective working group members to attend the other meetings. Admittedly, this could be a challenge if a bunch of people who don’t normally attend FSAN decide to attend FSAN. This is because the FSAN conference
room (when the divider is installed to allow for two conference rooms) holds 48 people around the tables. Any excess will have to line up against the walls. 2)
Please encourage your members to only register if they truly intend to come. One of the challenges with no-fee meetings is to get an accurate number of attendees for meal purposes. With no fee, I imagine it will be easy for people to
register, but in the end decide not to attend. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns. Curtis Curtis Knittle Director, Optical Technologies CableLabs 858 Coal Creek Circle Louisville, CO 80027 Office: 303-661-3851 Mobile: 303-589-6869 Email:
